Victorian Mahogany Vanity Mirror
A late Victorian mahogany tilting dressing table mirror, dating from around the late 19th century (circa 1880–1900).
The mirror features a solid mahogany frame with elegant scroll supports and sits on a shaped base, designed to rest on a dressing table or chest of drawers. The mirror tilts via brass side hinges, allowing the angle to be easily adjusted. The brass fittings have been lightly polished and include a maker’s mark.
The piece is in nice, clean and very usable condition for its age. The mirror glass shows some foxing and scratches, which are consistent with age and use but do not detract from its overall appearance or function.
A charming and practical Victorian dressing table mirror with good colour and attractive proportions.
