Vintage Ceramic Relief Tile Framed Female Figure

Vintage Ceramic Relief Tile Framed Female Figure

SKU: F356

A striking mid-century modern relief tile depicting a stylised seated nude female figure in a contemplative pose. The piece is designed in relief, giving the figure depth and sculptural presence.

The design shows clear influences from both Art Nouveau and Mid-Century Modern styles, with flowing lines and an abstracted interpretation of the human form. The figure is elegantly rendered with soft curves and simplified features.

The tile appears to be made from ceramic or possibly glass, finished with a high-gloss iridescent / metallic-style glaze which catches the light nicely and enhances the sculptural form.

This type of seated or contemplative nude figure was a popular decorative motif in relief art during the early to mid-20th century.

A very decorative piece that would work well as wall art or as part of a collection of mid-century ceramics.

Initials on the rear FN. From Germany originally.
